We have taken the time to compile some answers to some of the most frequently asked questions for you.
Q – What safety protocols have you implemented?
A – We have implemented the mandatory health and safety protocols required by government as well as some added processes to ensure peace of mind for our staff. They include but are not limited to:
– Wearing of masks at all times.
– Using hand sanitizers frequently.
– Temperature monitoring.
– No interdepartmental travel.
– Deep cleaning of machinery three times daily.
– Raw material curing periods.
– Finished product curing periods.
Q – How long can the virus live in a mattress?
A – The information on this is mixed with reports of the virus lasting anywhere from nine hours to three days. It appears from the investigations done that hard surfaces such as wood and ceramic are far more dangerous than textiles. From a health and safety perspective we treat it as though it has a four day half life and take precautions accordingly.
Q – Is it safe to buy a mattress now?
A – Yes it is safe, all manufacturers in the supply chain have implemented health and safety procedures to ensure the safety of their employees as well as their customers.
Q – I only need to buy a base for my current mattress, is there any chance the virus can move to my mattress from my base?
A – The same health and safety considerations for mattresses are made for your base as well, there is no evidence to support the virus moving from base to mattress but having said that when you receive your new base it will be virus free and so there should be no need for concern.
Q – Is their a mattress that has fabric which can kill the virus?
A – No there are mattresses that have anti bacterial and hypo allergenic properties for other respiratory issues. There is no fabric which can actively kill the virus.
